Joe is 42 years old and resides in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

He has owned and operated Verdegan Motorsports Marketing (now Elite Sports Marketing) for the past 11 seasons, helping stock car racing teams secure sponsorship funding on both the local and regional level.

He’s also served as a public relations/marketing director at Luxemburg (WI) Speedway, in addition to several other tracks in Wisconsin spanning 27 years.  Verdegan writes a weekly motorsports column for the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Also an accomplished race track announcer, Verdegan is well known in the regional motor racing circles, having worked several racing series and race tracks, beginning when he was 14 years old.

“Despite the challenges the economy threw at the racing community in 2009, businesses still need to market themselves,” said Verdegan.  “We in the motorsports industry need to hammer the point across that motorsports, both via race teams and weekly and touring racing programs, present a viable medium for advertising.”

A Green Bay native, Verdegan earned his Bachelors in Public Relations and Marketing at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1991.  He’s a 1987 graduate of Green Bay Southwest High School.  He has two sons, Ryan (18) and Jordan (14).
